Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology (BScMIT)
(Total Credits: 96)
This BScMIT Course is the first of its
kind in India. The six-semester program would be in keeping with the demands of
the health sector. Graduates will be able to take up jobs in hospitals
and Radiological diagnostic
centers. They will be capable of independently managing Medical Imaging
Services.
Eligibility:
-
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Science subjects or
Vocational Radiography course subjects may apply for admission.
-
Those with the following additional
qualifications after successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent with Science
subjects or vocational Radiography/Radiodiagnosis course subjects are also eligible to apply for admission.

Candidates who
have successfully completed Ministry of Health Recognized Condensed Course in
Radiography/Radiodiagnosis with two years in-service training in a hospital.

Candidates with a CMAI or
equivalent one year diploma in Radiodiagnosis Technology or equivalent.

Candidates who have successfully completed SSLC (11 years of schooling) or Matriculation (11 years of schooling) or
equivalent with the science subjects and have a diploma in Radiodiagnosis
Technology of not less than one year duration are eligible to apply.
However if selected for admission the candidates
meeting any of the above criteria must pass a prerequisite course in *
Fundamentals of Radiography = 3 credits along with other first
semester courses to be eligible to progress to the next semester.

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent
with science subjects with a MAHE/CMAI recognized diploma or certificate in Radiodiagnosis Technology after passing a two year course of study are
eligible for direct admission to the second semester of the BScMIT course.
However they must complete the following
additional courses as indicated below for which an additional fees will have to be
paid along with the second semester fees at the time of submission of
application for admission:

Communication Skills in English = 4 credits.

Computer Skills = 4 Credits.
All candidates seeking admission must have
completed 17 years of age as on the date of admission.
