The Karnataka State Open University
(KSOU) is the eighth
Open University in the country and was established by an Act of the
Karnataka State Legislature in 1996. The Institute of Correspondence
Course and Continuing Education of the Mysore University has been
converted into the KSOU with an all-India jurisdiction. The University
conducts courses and exams and awards degrees and certificates.
The university offers a range of courses in Information
Technology to suit the requirements of the industry.
