We started off as Acme Computers offering software solutions
and consultancy for enterprises. In view of the scarcity of
trained professionals in the industry we extended our
scope to set up Acme College of Information Technology in
1999.
Our quality Alliances…
Since its inception ACME has always stuck to quality. It was this factor that brought about
growth in terms of associations and alliances. During the later half of 1996 ACME in co-ordination with
CDAC PACE (Pune) launched its software Training activities and has to date successfully imparted training
to more than 400 students. It's also takes prides in placing more than 34 Computer Professional Overseas.
The tie-up resulted in the establishment and successful running of an authorized training center in Dilsukhnagar,
Hyderabad. The objective was to bring quality computer education within the reach of every segment of the
society and to standardize the quality of computer education, and both these have been met to the satisfaction
of all those involved.
In the year 1999, ACME has taken a big leap by establishing itself in the field of distance education;
it is affiliated to Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). To reflect its current status it was renamed
as ACME COLLEGE OF INFORMATION & TECHNOLOGY (ACIT) and registered as an Educational Society under the
Govt. of A.P. - Reg. No. 7518/2000.
After it was established as an Educational society, ACIT has come a long way in the year 2001, ACIT received
Private Unaided Degree College approval from the Govt. of A.P. and affiliation from OSMANIA UNIVERSITY for
B.Com (Computers) and B.Sc., (Computers Sciences) with the name ACME COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES as a regular
College. ACIT is presently managing a regular college affiliated to Osmania University and Distance Education
Study Centers of Eminent Universities.
